LOS ANGELES-Raised in Houston, Texas, Marisol Medina began as a dramatic actress. She performed in classical and experimental theatre in Houston and Seattle where she also wrote for theatre and film.
Marisol moved to Los Angeles where she turned to comedy and studied at Upright Citizens Brigade and completed the program at Groundlings. She’s performed short-form and long-form improv, sketch comedy, and stand-up at Groundlings, UCB, The Steve Allen Theater, Los Angeles Comedy Festival and Comedy Central Stage. Her sketch “American Apparel” (taped with her old comedy team, Galadina) was featured on Myspace drawing over 100,000 views and her sketch “Trash Talk” was featured on The Huffington Post and Entertainment Weekly. Marisol now resides in Echo Park and hopes to one day be as cool as it is.
